I love my job. As a Customer Advocacy Manager, I get to hear first-hand accounts from the people we impact, including challenges they’ve had to overcome, their innovative implementations and the success they’ve achieved with our product. But working in the customer advocacy field can be volatile. To be frank, the success of my position is largely dependent on the happiness of our customers. Technically, everyone’s job here is dependent on our customers’ success. But my role feels the direct impact, whether positive or negative, of each customer experience. I can’t share a customer’s achievements (a key part of my job) if they haven’t had success with our products.
When we were named a January 2019 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Operational Database Management Systems (OPDBMS), I quickly realized how lucky I am to work with the Redis developer community. In less than a year, we received over 100 reviews while maintaining a 4.6 rating*. Our team at Redis Labs takes great pride in this distinction because we wouldn’t have been able to get there without the support of such an active and passionate community.
