We are looking for a Cloud Backend Team Leader to join our R&D Department in Tel-Aviv.

As a Cloud Backend Team Leader, you will be leading a team of Backend Cloud Engineers, responsible for developing and building our Redis Enterprise cloud platform. You will be responsible for research of new technologies and integrating them into the Redis platform. You will recruit, mentor, motivate and lead a set of brilliant, highly skilled developers supporting hundreds of thousands of databases on our cloud service and providing solutions to the world’s largest companies.

Our ideal candidate is a strong individual with vast experience in large-scale web applications, based on microservices architecture, who is involved across the entire product lifecycle, from planning to design and implementation, has strong leadership skills, and a can-do attitude.

If you enjoy tackling technological challenges using a broad set of technical skills and are passionate about pushing technology forward while impacting millions of users, then this is the right challenge for you.

What you’ll do: 

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of Backend developers working on a large scale, distributed cloud system
  • Lead, prioritize and design new features and enhancements with an emphasis on clean and highly efficient code
  • Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, Architects, and other R&D teams
  • Drive the technology roadmap and timeline

What will you need to have? 

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, execute and own the team’s success and improvements
  • Knowledge of backend programming languages, especially Python
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with API design, implementation, and best practices
  • Experience with managing and technically leading a team of developers
  • Ability to manage interfaces and collaborate with others throughout the organization and outside of it
  • High code standards and passion for new technologies

Extra great:

  • Experience with NoSQL data stores such as Redis and ELK
  • Experience with microservices architecture and related challenges
