Redis is looking for a strong Director, Commissions, to help standardize our commissions process, implement new systems, and build cross-functional relationships throughout the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Own global commission accounting and operational processes by reviewing commission calculations, reconciliations, and analysis.
- Assist in implementing new commissions calculations tool (Forma.ai).
- Use Forma.ai application and Excel to create management reports and present these results monthly to the CFO and others.
- Drive strong partnership with Sales, FP&A, and Accounting leadership to drive commissions forecasting and accruals.
What will you need to have?
- 5+ years experience managing the commissions process at a tech company
- Track record of collaborating with Sales, Sales Operations, Human Resources, and the Finance organization to prepare incentive compensation plans, calculating commissions on bookings and resolving inquiries
- Strong analytical skills to forecast and report on actual results
- Strong understanding of sales compensation plans and plan designs
- Ability to meet tight timelines around monthly close and payroll process
- Self-starter capable of driving results without significant supervision
- Advanced in Excel (pivot, vlookup, index)
- General understanding of GAAP accounting rules related to deferred commissions and ASC 606

The estimated gross base annual salary range for this role is $134,000 – $288,000 per year in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including a candidate’s work location, qualifications, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Redis’ total compensation and competitive benefits package, which may include 401(k), unlimited time off, learning and development opportunities, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits. This role may include discretionary bonuses, stock options, commuter benefits based on location, or a commission plan. Salary history is not used in compensation package decisions. Redis utilizes market pay data to determine compensation, so posted compensation ranges are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
