Reporting to the Vice President of FP&A, the Director of GTM FP&A will spearhead the Company’s GTM initiatives including monthly, quarterly and Annual ARR and Revenue Plans and Forecasts, KPI’s, and Sales and Marketing ROI metrics. This is a highly visible role within the company. You will be responsible for setting up the framework and tracking of how we invest and grow both our Sales and Marketing organizations. We are looking for someone who has assisted or led the financial planning function for the GTM initiatives of a fast growth organization.  You should be a skilled communicator with a history of building relationships and trust with the senior leadership team. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Be the strategic financial partner to the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, and their teams in helping shape the strategy and execution of our sales, marketing and customer success organizations by balancing growth imperatives with expense controls to efficiently scale the company.
  • Partner and lead discussions with the GTM leadership and provide data-driven insights and financial analysis to maximize the effectiveness of the Sales and Marketing organizations 
  • Own the top line forecasting model and reporting including ARR, billings, revenue, and cash collections.
  • Align KPI’s to industry standards for consumption based revenue models. 
  • Drive annual operating plans (incl. sales rep capacity, incentive compensation modeling and pipeline coverage), quarterly and monthly financial forecasts, and ongoing analysis of performance and investment to highlight trends, opportunities, and causes of unexpected variances.
  • Prepare management reporting for leadership to analyze results and present forecasts, author clear narratives that describe business strategy and performance, assess business risk and operating health, and align cross functional teams to effective solutions.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing on the assumptions driving our demand generation and overall sales pipeline.

 

What will you need to have? 

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business, economics, or other relevant field.
  • 8+ years of finance or related experience and at least 5+ years of direct GTM finance experience within SaaS.
  • Track record of helping shape a GTM organization and proven ability to partner with senior leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen (e.g., a good understanding of financial statements, accounting, FP&A processes, ASC 606 & 340, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of communicating complex information in an easy to understand format and adept at calibrating the message based on your audience.
  • Advanced Office and Google application skills (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, PowerPoint/Slides) and proficiency with using different systems to retrieve and analyze data.
  • Bookings, billings, and revenue forecasting experience.
  • Enterprise SaaS experience.
  • Public company GTM FP&A experience.
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning, Salesforce and Aviso.  
  • This position is expected to be a hybrid role in our Mountain View, CA office a couple times a month.
