Redis is looking for a Team Leader to lead the Cluster Manager team.

The Cluster Manager service provides management and monitoring capabilities to Redis Enterprise – The fastest NoSQL cluster on earth, supporting over tens of millions ops/sec at sub-millisecond latency with true linear scalability. You will recruit, motivate, teach, and lead a set of highly skilled fullstack developers supporting DBs for thousands of customers and providing solutions to the world’s largest companies.

As the team leader for this team you will be responsible for leading its feature delivery as well as defining and pushing the next stages in its development and technologies.

​Our ideal candidate is a strong individual who loves to work in a team as well as contribute directly to the project's codebase. You are passionate about technology in general and specifically about the challenges around full stack development and distributed computing. You are a quick learner, always eager to learn and improve and love tackling hard problems.

What will you do:

  • Manage and lead the Cluster Manager team – plan, design and deliver the team's core features. Participate in defining the future technological direction of the team and the product.
  • Recruit and mentor team members. Take care of their growth and development.
  • Work closely with Redis architects, product managers, designers and other R&D teams to define, plan and design the project.


What will you need:

  • At least 5 years of overall development experience on a production grade system
  • At least 2 years of software development team management experience
  • At least 3 years of Back End development experience. Preferably in python
  • At least 3 years of Front End development experience using one of the React/Vue/Angular frameworks.
  • Self-directed, ambitious, and eager to learn new things. Passionate about technology and always learning about new tech.


Extra great:

  • Experience developing over Linux. Experience with Docker
  • ​Experience developing distributed systems
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (especially Redis)
