Why would you love this job?

Redis is looking for an experienced software engineer with a passion for infrastructure and data to help in the development of our RedisConnect product. RedisConnect is an infrastructure tool for change data capture. Traditional databases may be unsuited to the performance needs of modern real-time applications, where sub-millisecond responses are required. RedisConnect listens for changes to a traditional database and pushes them to Redis, which can service a much higher load with faster response times.

What you’ll do: 

  • Design and implement features using Python within RedisConnect.
  • Help in the recruiting and development of other engineers.
  • Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver a great user experience for our customers.

What will you need to have? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Proficient in Python
  • 8 years experience developing infrastructure code in POSIX environments 
  • Familiarity with relational databases
  • Test-driven development
  • Experience writing unit tests using automation frameworks, preferably pytest and JUnit
  • Experience in writing integration tests using test containers or other frameworks

 Extra great if you have: 

  • Java, JavaScript
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Experience with noSQL databases, such as Redis
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
