Chief Business Development Officer
Taimur Rashid is a seasoned business development executive with a track record of developing go-to-market strategy, building new markets capabilities, and driving revenue growth and market expansion. Over the past fifteen years he held senior leadership positions within sales, business development, customer success and product development at publicly traded companies including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, and Oracle.
Most recently, he was General Manager and Head of Worldwide Customer Success for Microsoft’s Azure Data & AI business. He led Microsoft’s customer success strategy and oversaw field execution of cloud solution architects (CSAs) across Azure Data & AI. Prior to this, he served as Managing Director of Business & Market Development at AWS where he was one of the founding members of the worldwide commercial field organization. During his ten years at AWS, he led new product incubation, go-to-market, strategic business development for AWS, and contributed to the company’s hypergrowth from pre-revenue to $25B+ in annual run-rate.
Taimur earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin. He serves as an advisor to several early-stage startups and is a frequent speaker on the topic of innovation and culture. Taimur lives in Bellevue, WA with his wife and three boys. He loves the outdoors and spends time hiking, mountain biking, and coaching basketball and lacrosse. He also enjoys art, music, coffee, and cooking on the weekends for his family.
