Redis Showcases Real-Time, Right Now Economy at Bangalore Event
Redis, the real-time data platform, is presenting the latest in data innovation during an in-person event, RedisDays Bangalore, at The Leela Palace Hotel on Friday 4 November. The event is headlined by Redis co-founder and CTO, Yiftach Shoolman and executives from Redis customers from across the Indian economy––AngelOne, Meesho, and Razorpay––sharing how modern cloud-native applications must be architected.
One of the most critical factors in delivering a true real-time experience is the performance of the database and the ability to achieve the lowest possible latency (<1 millisecond). A recent survey by ResearchScape, commissioned by Redis, found that 92% of IT professionals in India considered this level of real-time performance to be extremely important or very important to their applications.
“I’m excited to be able to return to India and bring the Redis community together again in-person. The enthusiasm and growth we’ve experienced in this market has been extraordinary,” said Yiftach Shoolman, Co-Founder and CTO, Redis. “Across all sectors of India’s economy––financial services, retail and e-commerce, gaming, and software companies––are delivering innovative experiences, disrupting markets, and scaling rapidly by leveraging the power and flexibility of Redis Enterprise.”
In addition to its sub-millisecond performance, Redis Enterprise’s flexible deployment options and cloud agnostic approach has allowed companies to architect their applications with a cloud-native mindset regardless where they are in their journey leveraging cloud services. In fact the ResearchScape survey reported 66% of Indian IT professionals stated their company already implemented a multicloud footprint and another 31% said their company planned to within the next six months. However the biggest challenge in implementing their multicloud strategy when it comes to the data layer was the technical architecture differences between the public clouds (50%). Related, the biggest factor in choosing a database was the flexibility in deployment options across on-premises, public clouds and multicloud (17%).
RedisDays Bangalore will be bringing real-time performance use cases, at scale and across different cloud-native architectures through leading customers representing a variety of industries.
Jyotiswarup Pai Raiturkar, Chief Technology Officer of online brokerage, AngelOne, will share the company’s migration from open source to Redis Enterprise including how to evaluate when to make the move and technical considerations required in the planning.
Debdoot Mukherjee, Chief Data Scientist from e-commerce platform, Meesho, discusses the company’s multicloud strategy and how they're building machine learning-driven customer experiences with Redis Enterprise.
Pranjal Yadav, Staff Engineer, Data Science/Machine Learning, at online payments company, Razorpay, will show how Redis Enterprise can squeeze greater performance from a SQL database and ensure a streamlined payments experience for customers.
