Tim Hall
Chief Product Officer, Redis
Tim Hall is the Chief Product Officer at Redis and oversees the product management teams for the company’s commercial software and managed services. His responsibilities also include overseeing the technical enablement, education, documentation, and developer relations teams. Tim is passionate about building products that developers love to use and that are easy to run and manage for customers. For more than a decade in senior leadership positions, his teams have been focused on executing to make these values a reality for leading open source, enterprise and developer products and cloud-based platforms at InfluxData, Hortonworks, Oracle and HP. Previously, Tim worked in professional services, building solutions and delivering systems integration projects for a wide variety of customers, from financial services to distribution and logistics companies and more.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in science and management with a concentration in physics from Claremont McKenna College.
Omar Koncobo
Director Ecommerce/IT Systems, Ulta Beauty
I have over 15 years’ experience in the IT field, operating in various IT disciplines at multiple Industries, Trading, Insurance, Pharmacy, Retail.
I am also a coffee farmer who loves tea, and my favorite sport is soccer or football depending on which part of the world you come from.
Udi Gottlieb
VP, Product and Solutions Marketing, Redis
Udi has been building and taking tech products to market across 3 geographies for over 20 years. As a passionate tech storyteller, in the past 10 years Udi has been focusing on product marketing as the cross section between technology and the go-to-market. Udi has deep roots in IT engineering and is specialized in SaaS and cloud based solutions. Most recently – prior to joining Redis, Udi led product marketing for Solarwinds’s IT service management business, following the acquisition of Samange and prior to that helped drive ServiceNow’s rise to a leadership position in the service management space.
Guy Royse
Senior Developer Advocate, Redis
Guy works for Redis as a Developer Advocate. Combining his decades of experience in writing software with a passion for learning—and for sharing what he has learned—Guy explores interesting topics and spreads the knowledge he has gained around developer communities worldwide.
Teaching and community have long been a focus for Guy. He runs his local JavaScript meetup in Ohio and has served on the selection committees of numerous conferences. He’ll happily speak anywhere that will have him and has even has helped teach programming at a prison in central Ohio.
In his personal life, Guy is a hard-boiled geek interested in role-playing games, science fiction, and technology. He also has a slightly less geeky interest in history and linguistics. In his spare time he likes to camp and studies history and linguistics.
Guy lives in Ohio with his wife, his sons, and an entire wall of board and role-playing games.
Justin Castilla
Senior Developer Advocate, Redis
Justin is a Senior Developer Advocate at Redis. He has helped to produce several courses at Redis University and has created numerous videos and instructional content for the Redis YouTube channel. Previous to Redis, Justin led as a curriculum developer and instructor lead at a Web Development boot camp, a software engineer for Sauce Labs, and a freelance Android Developer.

Banking on Redis with Guy Royse and Justin Castilla
This hands-on workshop starts with a walk-through of Redis data structures, including streams, JSON, timeseries, and query capabilities. Attendees will then use these data types to build a Node.js, Express, Redis, and Vue.js application containing a searchable transaction overview with real-time updates as well as a personal finance overview with real-time balance and biggest spenders updates.
